Hope it finds you well. KOWIN Montreal would like to invite you, your family and friends to the St-Jean Festival to be held on Friday, June 22nd, 5:00 to 9:30 PM at the Westmount Park. This is a multicultural community event jointly organized with Westmount city to celebrate the St-Jean-Baptiste day.
As you see the enclosed program, you can take advantage of a variety of musical entertainment, family activities and games for children: dance, music concert, drawing, tattoos, bubbles, BBQ, Korean foods, refreshments, etc. From 5:00PM, KOWIN team will propose a program promoting Korean culture to the public: K-pop dance, Korean drum dance, Buchae (Fan rib) performance, traditional board game Yut-nori, Tuho folkloric game, Korean traditional costume Hanbok experimentation, traditional food degustation (Japchae sweet potato noodles mixed with vegetable, nukdoo pancake, mandu dumpling, chicken Korean BBQ, traditional rice and cannel refreshments sujunggwa & sik-hye). The Westmount city integrates for the first time the Korean culture event in their community program. It strongly believes that this is a very meaningful event in terms of intercommunity cooperation and the public will appreciate such a special Korean program. The event will be ended by cutting and sharing the St-Jean celebration giant cake with bonfire. Please come to join us for St-Jean celebration with Korean music & dance, delicious foods and folkloric games.
Currently, KOWIN Montreal is seeking for volunteers who would be able to animate traditional games and Hanbok trial session. Each selected volunteer will receive a certificate for their completed work.
